Who is the GPS Alarm for?
The Careline GPS alarm is for anyone who wants to feel safe and supported no matter where they are. Most personal alarms for the elderly rely on a landline connection, meaning they only work in the home and garden. For lots of elderly people, this is perfect; they might have somebody with them whenever they pop to the shops or go for a walk. However, many older people don’t have this luxury. For these people, the reassurance of a Careline GPS Alarm can be life-changing.
People who are prone to falls can benefit from a Careline GPS Alarm too. If you fall at home or out and about, you’ll be able to call for help with just the touch of a button. This means you can carry on living an active life with total independence.
In addition, a GPS Alarm could be a great solution for someone with dementia who may be prone to wandering or getting lost. You can attach the alarm to a keyring or wear it around the neck like a pendant. If the user gets disoriented, they can press the SOS button. Our 24-hour Care Team will receive an alert and respond straight away. They’ll communicate with the alarm user and ask simple questions to determine what kind of help they need. They’ll then get in touch with one or more of the user’s emergency contacts and share the user’s location. If the user is in any danger or needs medical assistance, the Care Team will also contact the emergency services.
How do you set up the Careline GPS Alarm?
Like all Careline Alarms, the GPS Alarm is simple to set up and easy to use. It comes with a sleek wireless charging station and all the cables you’ll need. You can set up the Careline GPS Alarm in four simple steps:
Step 1. Take the GPS Alarm and wireless charging station out of the box.
Step 2. Connect the charging station to the mains power using the cable provided.
Step 3. Place the GPS Alarm onto the wireless charging station.
Step 4. The device will be fully charged and ready to go after just 3-4 hours.
At this point, you’ll be able to make a test call and make sure that everything is working perfectly. To test the Careline GPS Alarm, just press and hold the SOS button for 3 seconds. Our Care Team will answer over the built-in speaker. Simply inform them that you’re testing your new alarm and they’ll handle the rest.
